Our Overview
We left off with Laura being gravely hurt. We come back to Massimo facing an unimaginable decision: keep Laura alive or his unborn child? Laura meanwhile is unaware and accepts her fate, thinking that she has naturally lost her child. This spirals Laura into alcoholism meanwhile Massimo tries to focus on work. Laura struggles to focus on her company and finds it difficult to be alone. Massimo buys her a dog to combat her loneliness.
Slowly Laura finds herself getting attracted to Nacho. Massimo meanwhile finds himself slowly getting addicted to drugs. Laura and Nacho meet and realise that they are in love. Laura then leaves Massimo and begins living with Nacho. Massimo is furious and kills her beloved dog and sends it to her new home.
At Olga and Domenico’s wedding, Massimo turns up with another woman. Laura is jealous and confronts him about her poor dog. Massimo denies killing her dog which prompts Laura to fall into his trap by going to Massimo’s place as he puts the blame on Nacho. She is kidnapped again by Massimo but manages to escape, going back to Nacho and falling pregnant with his child.

It’s safe to say that these books are on every spice lover’s must-read list! This book is sexy, super steamy and has gripping storylines that integrate perfectly with each other.
With all the travelling in this novel (Canary Islands, Sicily, Poland, Ibiza) it really felt like we were living the high life. Exuberant spending and lavish lifestyle included, it’s no wonder why these books are so popular.
The dark side of this book caters to the true devastation life can throw at you. Coping with the loss of their unborn child, both Marisso and Laura go down dark and difficult paths to cope with the emptiness in their life. Their relationship becomes difficult and it isn’t a far stretch of reality that Laura found comfort in another man.
A truly gripping piece in what is considered one of the most twisted, thrilling romance series of the decade.
