Her complex relationship with her mother leaves her struggling to process her emotions. She knew she would cross paths with her ex-boyfriend, Evan Hartley, but encountering him at the funeral was unexpected. Seeing Evan reignites past feelings, but she’s aware that he could jeopardize her efforts to change her reputation.

Evan, still in the dark about why Gen left, is determined to discover the reason behind her sudden departure and ensure she remains in town with him.

We thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters felt authentic, and the romance was incredibly intense. Gen and Evan share undeniable chemistry, yet they’ve also caused each other pain.
